How Do Hand Sanitizers Work?
Do you use hand sanitizers?
In certain situations, alcohol-based hand sanitizers can be effective at preventing illness because they don't require water and kill bacteria and viruses quickly. So in situations where soap and water are not available, having a hand sanitizer with you can keep you protected.
In some cases, hand sanitizers actually work better than washing hands with soap and water.
Simply because many people don't take enough time to wash their hands properly. (Refer to our article, The Importance of Hand Washing for the proper hand-washing procedures).
Hand sanitizers are not only great to carry around in your car or purse, but you can mount them in your customer's restrooms, break rooms, office areas, and classrooms.
Studies have shown that absenteeism in schools and the workplace can be cut by up to 50% when proper hand-washing and hand sanitizer use is implemented. Since most viruses is spread by the hands, especially among children, use of hand sanitizers is recommended.
