Pay for Quality When Buying Floor Pads
Did you know that you get what you pay for when it comes to floor pads? It's easy to assume that if you buy your floor pads from your janitorial supplier, that you'll be getting good quality pads. But there are so many manufacturers now, that you need to do your homework to make sure you're getting quality made floor pads. You probably won't be able to tell the difference in quality of pads because most look very much alike. However some manufacturers may substitute poor quality materials like marble dust, which is a cheaper, low-quality abrasive. Your janitorial supplier will likely carry more than one line of floor pads, so if you see a big price difference, find out why. It's likely one line will be a lower-quality line of pads. If you go with the cheaper pads, you'll probably notice that they wear out much faster than higher quality pads. So even though you'll be paying a bit more for a high-quality pad, you'll recoup that money in labor savings and not needing to buy pads as often.
