VIDEO: How to Clean Residential Carpet using Clean Master's Express Multi-Surface Floor Cleaning System
In this video, you'll learn how to clean residential carpet using the hot water extraction method, followed up with a dry bonnet. The machine being used is the Clean Master's Express Multi-Surface Floor Cleaning System, which does an excellent job on both carpets and hard floors. See how fast and easy it is to use for carpet cleaning. This video is about 16 minutes long. Video Recap:*Items needed for carpet cleaning: Cleaning machine, pre-spray, neutralizer, solution hose, vacuum hose, upholstery tool, carpet bonnets, carpet rakes, carpet fans *For the CleanMaster Express machine, attach the RX20 heads--lubricate ends, oil gaskets, do not cross-thread, lock in place. Tilt the machine to the right so that the oil does not get into the gear box on the left side. *To prepare for cleaning, check the solution tank, recovery tank, and connection hoses. Fill the solution tank with water and attach the electrical cord. *Add a booster to the pre-spray to loosen oils. Pre-spray with an even, overlapping coat and avoid baseboards, walls, and furniture. A #5 tip will allow you to move very quickly. Let the chemicals do the work by waiting for about 5-10 minutes. *To extract, push the machine forward and backward. Use the trigger on the handle to release water or you can set the switch to automatic. Do not overwet the carpet and make extra dry vacuum passes. Go over high traffic areas thoroughly. *For stairs, you can use a stairway wand or an upholstery tool. The upholstery tool will allow you to get both the tread and the riser easily. *Vacuum out as much water as possible and then use a slow speed bonnet machine with a dry cotton bonnet. Bonneting will help the carpet dry more quickly, especially in areas with high humidity. Flip the bonnet over when it gets dirty. *Mist neutralizer with a #5 tip and a pump-up spray bottle. Be sure not to get any on the baseboards, walls, and furniture. *Rake the carpet and stairs to help bring up the matted areas and get the fiber to stand up properly. *Set up carpet fans to speed dry time. |
