Keep Carpet Looking Great
Steve Hanson
Did you know that the life of your customers' carpets can be extended with proper care and preventive maintenance? Follow these tips to keep your customers' carpets looking great:
Walk-off Mats - Vacuuming entry mats are crucial to carpet maintenance. More than 75% of soil in any building is tracked in from the outside, so vacuuming mats daily is extremely important.
Daily Vacuuming of High Traffic Areas - Traffic areas include hallways, areas near elevators and restrooms, aisles by cubicles and reception areas. You may not see the dirt, but it is there doing its damage, working its way deeper into the carpet fibers. The longer it is there the harder it is to remove.
Carpet Spotting - Although you may not be responsible for carpet spotting, every employee should report any spots they see on carpet. Spills that remain on the carpet too long can result in permanent damage.
We recommend offering carpet spotting services to your customers so you can take care of spots as soon as they happen. (Plus, it's a very profitable add-on service)
Preventative Maintenance - Use of closed containers in carpeted areas will greatly increase the life and appearance of carpeting.
